The Gilgit College of Commerce & Economics is the pioneer and leading commerce college in Gilgit-Baltistan (GCC&E). It was established in September 2004 under the patronage of highly qualified academicians. The GCC&E's Gilgit Campus embarked on its mission with 15 students initially, which remarkably soared to 350 students in a very short span of time. Despite, its fledgling status, the GCC&E has set a leading trends in the region for generating and promoting knowledge in the field of Commerce and Economics.
